Linda Hurtley Bio

After a decade of working together with Wendy Porter, Linda Hurtley recently officially joined the WPE team as the Director of Operations (contract).  

A successful business owner herself at Linwood Group Meetings, Linda is a seasoned meeting professional with expertise and consistent success in designing, planning and implementing all aspects of association and corporate conventions, both nationally and internationally. Skills include site selection, contract negotiation and fulfilment, registration, food & beverage, hotel room block, logistics, décor, AV and stage design, event transportation, exhibits, sponsorships, and speaker management.

 

Linda is an expert at managing the extensive details of a single day or multi-day conference.  She has managed full trade shows and corporate exhibits, special events and galas, grand opening celebrations, incentive programs, major ground transportation programs, golf tournament and silent auction fundraisers, and community education programs.  Programs have ranged in size from 10 to 3,000 attendees.

 

Linda exudes a positive and professional demeanor.  She has the ability to be calm and resourceful under pressure.  Linda has an amazing cadre of contractors she can depend on when needed and is a strong team leader and trusted client partner.  Linda is reliable, organized, and an asset to her client’s bottom line.

 

Linda ensures her clients can participate in and enjoy their meetings, while behind the scenes she safeguards the seamless execution of details. In addition, Linda earned her Pandemic Compliance Advisor (PCA) Certification through Health Education Services in January 2021.
